Burnley College continues to shape the future of T Levels as the Government appoints a third T Level Ambassador from the Number 1 College in England.
Louise Turnbull, Programme Leader for Early Years at Burnley College has been honoured with the distinguished role for her efforts in supporting their Students as they embark on this exciting, new qualification which combines academic learning with practical skills.
Louise says the courses offer a perfect pathway to their dream career or to continue in their education:
“These programmes offer a holistic learning experience, combining knowledge, skills and practical applications, setting students up for success in employment or higher education.
“The passion these Students bring with them is inspiring and fosters an environment where both students and educators continue to learn and grow.”
Louise has had that passion to pass on her experience to the next generation all of her working life.
Her journey began as a nursery manager, followed by roles as a Nursery Nurse, Teaching Assistant and even working abroad in children’s clubs before moving into teaching around ten years ago.
Louise has also experience working for the exam body NCFE:
“Working with the exam board has really enhanced my understanding of exactly what examiners are looking for, and the skills Students will need to succeed.
“It’s so much more than simply passing exams. It’s developing a comprehensive skill set that supports growth.”
Louise also talks about how Burnley College’s massive investment in new facilities, including a brand-new building with a dedicated childcare suite, has created a learning environment like no other.
Success soon followed, with Burnley College achieving a 100% T Level Pass Rate in Health, Healthcare Science and Design, and Surveying and Planning for Construction in its results for 2024.
“It’s been an amazing and integral part of the growth we’ve seen. It has helped the programme move forward, progressing to new heights. We’ve gained so many learners and it continues to rise.
“It confirms Burnley College’s commitment to innovate and offer new opportunities to every single one of our learners, Building Futures and Changing Lives.”
