Hyndburn Leisure is a registered charity employing a team of more than 180 friendly, fully qualified staff. They are supported by a board of trustees who are drawn from the local community and share our passion for sport and culture in Hyndburn. Their vision is to make a real difference in the communities we serve. There is an exciting new opportunity for a Sports Apprentice to join the Hyndburn Leisure team at their centres in Hyndburn.

Based at Hyndburn Leisure Centre and Accrington Academy you will gain a broad range of experience-based knowledge of services provided within Hyndburn Leisure. As this role incorporates lifeguarding; a minimum swimming ability is required and you will be required to undertake a swimming test in addition to satisfying college assessments.

Person Specification

We are looking for self-motivated people who aspire to develop themselves and are committed to learning. You will need good communication skills and be able to satisfy basic literacy and numeracy requirements. Working as a team and supporting others is essential.

Qualifications Obtained

• NPLQ-First Aid within Hyndburn Leisure Facilities
• Level 2 Leisure Team Member Apprenticeship with Burnley College
• Swim England Swim Teacher within Hyndburn Leisure Facilities

3 week rota, including weekends;

Finish Time: 10.30pm
