About this vacancy

Lakeview Nursery are looking for a Level 3 Early Years Apprentice, who can ensure that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.

Person Specification

  • Minimum of GCSE grade 4 in both Maths and English, or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English
  • Experience preferred within an Early Years setting
  • Level 2 Early Years / Health and Social Care qualifications

You will be working towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.

Duties/main responsibilties include:

  • To attend team meetings and imputing ideas
  • Under supervision to provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding
  • To assist with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children
  • To provide adult interaction with children in the nursery
  • To be aware of and adhere to all the nurseries policies, procedures, safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • To be enthusiastic and willing to learn at all times
  • To obtain throughout working practice sound knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage Framework in order to plan, observe and assess the children
  • To have key worker children and care for their individual needs

 

Team Work:

  • Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
  • To attend all out of working hours activites, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parents evenings, summer fair, Christmas Party’s and much more!

 

The key areas for this apprenticeship are:

  • To work with children
  • To be working towards NVQ level 3
  • To attend training
  • To complete assignments set
  • To be part of a team
  • To attend associated training
  • To liaise with mentor, room supervisor, third officer in charge, deputy manager and manager

Working week

Monday – Friday

Hours range from 7.30am – 6pm
