Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the financial services sector while developing their skills in financial management and accounting. As an Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced professionals, receiving mentorship and guidance as you learn the intricacies of financial accounting and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing accounts payable and ensuring timely processing of invoices.
  • Support the financial management team with data entry and record-keeping using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
  • Participate in the preparation of financial reports and assist with audits as required.
  • Engage in mentoring sessions to enhance your understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the department.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist in reconciliations as necessary.
  • Learn to navigate PeopleSoft for various financial functions and reporting needs.

Qualifications

  • A keen interest in finance or accounting, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is advantageous but not essential.
  • Basic understanding of financial management principles is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and enthusiasm for learning.

Working week

Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30.
