Themis Apprentices restore historic Burnley Landmark

Apprentices from Themis at Burnley College are working on exciting new project which will see our Apprentices refurbish the historic railings surrounding the beautifully-restored building. Painting and Decorating Apprentices are taking on the project at The Landmark in Burnley with a focus on expanding their learning for the project which will impact the community.

The railings have a long association with education in the town, having surrounded the old Burnley Grammar School which was more recently part of Burnley College.

The Apprentices are working on the project over the next few months, with tasks including expertly removing the old paint from the railings, cleaning and repainting.

Painting and Decorating Tutor at Burnley College, Mark Smith expressed how proud and invested our Apprentices are to be involved in such an exciting project and opportunity.
