Two remarkable members of the Burnley College Family are finalists in the National Apprenticeship Awards in the Skills Champion of the Year and T Level Student of the Year categories.
Neil Burrows, Director of Skills, Innovation and Employer Engagement at Burnley College has been honoured for going above and beyond in championing Apprenticeships and T Levels among the many skills programmes on offer through his years of experience and vast skillset.
And for the very first time, the awards will recognise T Level students and employers, with T Level Education and Early Years Student Evie Ross named as a finalist.
Neil has built close relationships with industry and ensures the campus has the same cutting-edge technology found in modern workplaces.
Evie has demonstrated exceptional skills and achievements in her industry placement, making a real difference in the workplace and she sets a fantastic example of how a T Level can boost a career.
Tina Anadkat, Lecturer in Science, Health and Education, and T Levels Ambassador praise Evie’s success:
“Congratulations to Evie on becoming a North West Finalist for the National Apprenticeship T Levels Skills Awards! Watching her grow in confidence and skills has been an absolute privilege as her Tutor.
“Her dedication, resilience and passion for education have shone through in everything she has done, and I am so proud to see how far she has come.
“This achievement is a reflection of her hard work and her ability to overcome challenges and I couldn’t be prouder to have been part of her journey.”
The National Apprenticeship and Skills Awards celebrates its 21st anniversary this year, with the established awards recognising and rewarding the achievements of exceptional Apprentices and T Level students, skills champions and employers.
Neil and Evie will be celebrated for their achievements at the award ceremony later this month.
