About the course
If you have the drive and ambition to succeed in the private or public sector then the Business Administration Apprenticeship will give you the skills required to prosper. The role of a Business Administrator may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administration services. Responsibilities include; engaging with different parts of the organisation, interaction internal or external customers, contributing to efficiency, supporting functional areas, team working and resolving issues as requested. You will develop knowledge, skills and behaviours in communication, decision making, record and document production, planning and organisation, project management, regulation and legislation, business fundamentals and professionalism. As a full time employee you will either attend college for one day per week or 1:1 work based learning delivery is available.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above in a good range of subjects including GCSE English Language and ideally Mathematics. Applicants must be hardworking, reliable and motivated. As part of the interview process, Apprentices will undertake a BKSB assessment in English and Mathematics . Applicants who do not meet the exact entry requirements but hold relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply.
Assessment
You will produce an on programme portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your development of the required knowledge, skills and professional behaviours, over a typical duration of 12 - 15 months. At the end of your on programme learning you will undertake an end point assessment with an external organisation. This will involve successful completion of a multiple choice knowledge test consisting of 50 questions, completion of a project with report and presentation and a portfolio based interview underpinned by a show case portfolio. Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths may need to be taken, dependent on GCSE results.
Careers & Progression
On successful completion of this course you may progress to a Higher Level Apprenticeship such as level 4 Project Management (job role dependent) or the opportunity to progress onto a Degree Apprenticeship or a range of other Degree courses. Careers that this course may lead to include Business Management, Administration Team Leader / Coordinator roles, Senior support roles and Events Management.
