About the course

The course consists of mandatory and optional units - a credit value of 15 is required to achieve the full qualification

The mandatory units include - Understand information, advice and guidance practice and Understand the interaction skills required for information, advice or guidance 

Optional Units include the following of which just 9 credits are required. 

Understanding signposting and referral in information, advice or guidance

Understand the context of information, advice and guidance

Understand skills required by advice providers

Understand the practice of benefits advice work

Understand the management of information

Assessment

On this course, you will be regularly assessed and will complete questions to demonstrate your acquired knowledge and skills. Knowledge questions are issued as the formal assessment for each unit and will be completed through your online learning platform. For each unit, clear deadlines are provided to ensure timely completion of your course. You will receive feedback on each unit from your expert tutor, and you will need to pass all 5 units of the course and ensure your answers to the questions meet the required assessment criteria.
