About the course

On this course you will:

• Develop an understanding of how digital technologies impact business and market environment including the use of digital tools for project management and collaboration

• Learn about the ethical and moral implications of digital technology including privacy and confidentiality of personal data

• Develop and understanding of using data in software design and how to use digital technologies to analyse and solve problems

• Learn about identifying cyber threats and how to mitigate them including the technical, physical and human aspects of internet security

• Reviewing different types of attacks including social engineering, phishing, spear phishing and vishing

• Develop your understanding of malware including virus, adware, ransomware and trojan

Entry Requirements

At least five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above in a good range of subjects, including English, Mathematics and Science.

Careers & Progression

Career options might include becoming an infrastructure technician or a role in IT support. You can progress into roles such as an IT Security Co-ordinator or IT Support Technician.
