About the course
On this course you will:
Develop an understanding of how digital technologies impact business and market environment including the use of digital tools for project management and collaboration
Learn about the ethical and moral implications of digital technology including privacy and confidentiality of personal data
Develop and understanding of using data in software design and how to use digital technologies to analyse and solve problems
Learn about identifying cyber threats and how to mitigate them including the technical, physical and human aspects of internet security
Reviewing different types of attacks including social engineering, phishing, spear phishing and vishing
Develop your understanding of malware including virus, adware, ransomware and trojan

Entry Requirements
At least five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above in a good range of subjects, including English, Mathematics and Science.
Careers & Progression
Career options might include becoming an infrastructure technician or a role in IT support. You can progress into roles such as an IT Security Co-ordinator or IT Support Technician.
