About the course
The first of the two short courses introduce the professional skills and behaviour required to rehearse, develop, and perform musical material as a band. You will have the opportunity to form a band and develop musical material with other aspiring musicians, eventually recording your material in our college studio.
You will need to be able to play an instrument in order to make the most out of this course. You do not need to have 'mastered' your instrument, but you need to be able to competently learn and play songs within a short timeframe.
The second of these short courses doesn't involve any instrumental skills so you are not required to play an instrument. This course introduces the basic skills required to make music in the digital age and gives you insight into the world of beat production and also how to produce music. For this course you will need a pair of wired headphones.
These courses are an excellent choice if you are looking to start on one of our music or music technology programmes at college, they provide you an insight into the resources we have, what our lessons look like, and it also gives you a chance to meet future course mates.
