About the course
The AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting covers high-level accounting and finance topics and tasks.Students will look at and become comfortable with a wide range of financial management skills and applications, and gain competencies in: drafting financial statements for limited companies;
recommending accounting systems strategy; and constructing and presenting complex management accounting reports. Students will also learn about specialist areas such as tax, auditing, credit management, and cash and treasury management.

Entry Requirements
Successful completion of Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting and Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting, or the undertaking of a Trade Test for those with equivalent qualifications and/or experience. GCSE or Level 2 functional skills in Maths & English.

Core modules are: Financial Statements for Limited Companies Management Accounting: Budgeting Management Accounting: Decision and Control Professional Diploma Synoptic Assessment Optional modules include: Personal Tax Business tax Credit Management Cash & Treasury Management External Auditing
Assessment
Students will be required to complete 6 modules in total. Four of these are core modules. Upon completion of the four core modules, students can choose two optional modules. For each module, the pass rate is 70%. A resit fee is applicable if an exam is not successfully passed. The four core modules are: Financial Statements for Limited Companies Management Accounting: Budgeting Management Accounting: Decision and Control Professional Diploma Synoptic Assessment Optional modules include: Personal Tax Business tax Credit Management Cash & Treasury Management External Auditing
