About the course

This course is for adult learners who wish to gain basic skills within brickwork. The course is appropriate for learners who want to develop DIY skills or progress to further study leading to a career in the Construction industry. You will cover a wide range of practical skills underpinned by a strong understanding of technical knowledge and health and safety requirements of the industry. You will study in our excellent facilities supported by our enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutors. You will learn the following skills while studying on this course, setting out procedures, safe use of equipment and tools, working safely, working with different materials, basic construction/bricklaying skills and basic finishing skills used in the construction industry for bricklaying.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal requirements, just an enthusiasm to learn basic brickwork methods and setting out skills.

Assessment

This is practically assessed course. You will however need to complete workbooks to support your practical assessments. These will consist of health and safety and a portfolio of evidence.
