About the course
Bricklaying is a useful and practical skill to gain for any DIY enthusiast. No experience is necessary, and as a beginner you’ll quickly and effectively learn how to make repairs to garden walls, construct basic foundation walling and also possibly use the skills for basis landscape gardening techniques. The course will cover units in Health and Safety, and you will learn the correct use of materials and correct use of tools and equipment safely. Importantly, you’ll learn how to mix mortar for different applications and identify different techniques used in Bricklaying. You will also learn setting out techniques, how to accurately estimate materials for different jobs and the basic bricklaying skills and techniques you need to complete your own DIY projects.
