About the course
To understand the present you need to discover the past. The Ancient Worlds of Greece and Rome set into motion societal practices and values which still exist in some form in today’s social climate. Study the rich and varied Greek and Roman History; relations between Greek states and Persia, the Judo Claudian Emperors, the politics and society of Sparta and the fall of the Roman Republic. All of these topics are to be explored to give you a greater understanding of how these societies have impacted our lives today. Develop your ability to make connections and draw comparisons between different periods, issues and societies of the past and enrich your awareness as ideas are applied to modern history or current affairs.
