Entry Requirements

Three GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including English, Mathematics and Science or a relevant Level 1 qualification.

Modules

On the 1 year course students will cover units in Principles & Applications of Science I, Practical Scientific Procedures & Techniques, Science Investigation Skills, Laboratory Techniques & their Applications, Physiology of the Human Body and Human Regulation & Reproduction. 

Assessment

It includes a range of assessment types and styles suited to skills and occupationally-based qualifications at this level: External assessment: In this qualification, there are two external assessments. 

Careers & Progression

You could decide to progress onto a T Level in Healthcare Science or Health, an Apprenticeship or Level 3 Applied Science.

Enrichment Activities

Past and planned visits have included the Bodyworld Exhibition in London, industry visits and University Taster Days and placement opportunities across a variety of health and social care organisations.
