About the course
Think about what you know and believe about the world, how you see yourself - the chances are you have been massively influenced by the media you consume: online, social media, TV, film, print, adverts, radio. Develop your knowledge based on key media industries and your skills to analyse media products. Understand how products are constructed by whom and for what purpose. Protect yourself from ‘fake news’ and unscrupulous advertising. Create your own products to a high professional standard giving you a portfolio of work for university and employment applications.

The department visits a number university conferences, Salford’s Media City and the British Film Institute in London. Past residentials have also taken Students to New York!
