About the course

The past causes the present and so our future. Examine history through various different lenses and perspectives, as you learn to appreciate contrasting interpretations as well as critique them. A Level History studies Tudor England, Weimar and Nazi Germany. You will also conduct your own independent investigation into an area of less-explored history, such as the British Empire, the Glorious Revolution, Russian economics, witchcraft, Irish republicanism and Yugoslavian identity. Develop your skills with primary and secondary sources and assess their limitations due to provenance.
