A bus or train timetable may not exactly match your academic timetable. This is a great opportunity for you to take advantage of our free breakfasts or use one of our Active Learning Zones for independent study.

Your bus pass could be free…

If you achieve 100% attendance in a term, we will reimburse you the full cost of your bus pass (term 2 & 3 are combined). 

You may also be eligible for free travel, depending on your household income (subject to conditions).

How to Get a Bus Pass

Bus passes for your preferred route (valid seven days a week, including evenings and weekends) can be purchased in advance via College each term. 

Apprentices

We can also signpost Apprentices to access discounted bus travel via Lancashire County Council.

Train

The Burnley trainline covers much of the surrounding towns and villages around Burnley including Blackburn which is a 30 minute rail journey. The trip is long enough to watch an episode of your favourite TV show, chat to friends, or catch up on some studying.

Rail passes/tickets can be bought directly from the train operator and are not subject to any College incentives. You may be eligible for a travel grant for free or subsidised rail travel depending on your income (subject to conditions).

University Student

Our impressive town centre Campus is within easy reach of public transport links and the North West’s motorway network and cycle routes.

By Car/Bike

There are several secure town centre car parks, situated just a couple of minutes’ walk from our Campus. A strictly limited number of day-time car park spaces are also available on application.

Free parking for all Learners is available on the College car park after 5pm.

There are secure bike lockers on Campus available for all learners for a fully-refundable deposit.

By Bus/Train

The BCUC Bursary  (available to full-time students on a BSc Hons, BA Hons or Foundation Degree course) offers an option of cash which you can use to cover public transport or car parking costs.
