Matthew felt stuck in his career being in the same role for 13 years, so he chose Adult Learning at Burnley College to take that first exciting step to a more fulfilling career.

Returning to education was daunting at first and studying a course he previously wasn’t too keen of was challenging at first. However, with the support of his amazing Tutors, he grew his confidence and found a new passion which gave him the drive to achieve a Grade 7 in GCSE Maths.

Matthew is now studying a HNC in Chemical Engineering, which will boost his career prospects.
