Gary attended counselling back in 2017 which sparked his interest in what counselling can do for people. The impact of the sessions never left him and gave him the inspiration to research psychotherapy and philosophy. He became fascinated by the subjects and when he turned 40, made the decision to apply for the counselling course.

He says the counselling course has positively impacted his children and family life in an immeasurable way. Gary is now working towards a new career as a Psychotherapist, a role which fascinates him and allows him to make a difference.

He says: “I firmly believe I’m supporting people through lived experience and supporting their needs. It’s not about trying to fix anyone – it’s about trying to support them.”
