Davood describes the most important things in his life are being comfortable and being able to communicate.

He found when he came here it was hard to communicate and get by as he didn’t know the language, so being able to speak and understand English is the most important thing for him. His ESOL course is helping him to build the skills and confidence he needs to apply for jobs as he enjoys the structure and the challenge of work.

He describes the College as a ‘friendly and welcoming place’ and he plans to learn a trade like plumbing or electrical, continuing his studies at Burnley College.
