It’s another amazing result for Burnley College as Neil Burrows, Director of Skills and Innovation is announced as a finalist in the prestigious Enginuity Skills Awards.
Neil is nominated in the hotly fought Skills Champion of the Year category. In his nomination he is described as “A champion of advanced manufacturing and engineering, responsible for building strong industry partnerships and positioning Burnley College as a skills leader.”
The awards celebrate the people and organisations whose commitment to engineering and manufacturing skills is “safeguarding the future of our industries.”
Neil has spearheaded Burnley College’s drive to build close relationships with industries large and small as well as to ensure the campus has the same cutting-edge technology you would find in the most modern workplaces.
Neil says:

It’s been an incredible year for awards at Burnley College, mostly recently with Apprenticeship arm, Themis winning the UK Apprenticeship Award and being Highly Commended for its Sustainability Green Initiative for the Low Carbon Hub at the Educate North Awards.
Neil will be traveling down to the glittering ceremony at the Park Plaza Hotel in London on Thursday 29 June.
