Remarkable Students with exceptional skills in Construction have dominated in the SkillBuild and SkillPlumb Regional Heats, hosted by Burnley College at our impressive £115 million Campus with the ultimate industry-standard facilities.

Jake Saggers, 22, current Plumbing Domestic Heat Technician Apprentice with CW Plumbing and Heating and formerly of Colne Park High, Dylan Rudderforth, 20, former pupil of Unity College, Gabriel Howard, 19 formerly of Bowland County Secondary, Ethan Storey, formerly of Hyndburn Academy, Luke Richardson, 18, former pupil of Shuttleworth College and Mackenzie Meeks, 19 and formerly of Unity College, showcased their exceptional talent going head-to-head against the very best Learners and Apprentices from Colleges across the region in practical challenges.

Despite tough competition in the Furniture and Cabinet Making category, Dylan, Gabriel and Ethan dominated the field, achieving gold, silver and bronze. Jake came out on top in the SkillPlumb competition while Luke achieved silver in Joinery and Mackenzie bronze in Painting and Decorating.

All the Learners impressed the judges by showcasing their hard work and dedication, key attributes consistently promoted by our industry-experienced Trainers.

We are honoured to have hosted these regional heats, which gave competitors the opportunity to utilise our industry-standard workshops which makes us stand out as an award-winning Apprenticeship provider.

More than 20 Burnley College Learners competed in various specialist categories, including Bricklaying, Carpentry, Furniture and Cabinet Making, Joinery, Painting and Decorating and Plastering.
