Skills Academies

Our friendly, expert trainers will guide you through practical exercises and theory in our industry-standard facilities. There are 3 free courses to choose from depending on which industry you are interested in – you will earn a nationally recognised qualification on each to add to your cv.

Manufacturing, Warehousing and Forklift Truck Training
  • City & Guild Level 1 Performing Manufacturing Operations
  • RTITB Forklift Truck Counterbalance Licence


You will learn about product assembly, using industrial tooling, quality control, stock taking and operating a forklift truck as well as earning vital qualification to boost your employability.
Construction Trade Multi Skills
  • City and Guilds Level 1 Diploma Construction Skills
  • Level 2 IOSH Health and Safety
  • CSCS Card


You will learn the basics of brickwork, plastering, tiling, and plumbing to kickstart a career in the construction industry. Your CSCS card will prove that you have the appropriate training and qualifications to work on a construction site that many businesses require their employers to hold.
Textiles
  • City & Guild Level 1 Diploma Performing Manufacturing Operations


You will learn how to operate an industry-standard sewing machine, organise your work, inspect it to ensure the highest standards and you will build an impressive portfolio of work that showcases your skills, ready to take up a role in textiles.
