We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Teacher in A Level Business Studies with the potential to deliver outstanding student achievement and a commitment to driving forward the provision of Business Studies to ensure student success.
This post would suit newly qualified graduates who wished to gain a teaching qualification or newly qualified teachers. Lecturer A’s have reduced contact hours and are supported through a mentoring system and staff development programmes to develop their classroom practice.
As an ambitious Trainee Lecturer, you will work closely within the A-Levels Division to ensure that students are actively engaged in all aspects of the delivery of AS/A-Level Business and you will also work within the Division and liaise with cross-College areas to enhance the student experience and provide the widest range of opportunities to our students.
As a Trainee Lecturer your contact teaching hours, relevant to subject specialism, will increase as you gain in skills and experience.
With a relevant degree level qualification in a relevant subject, ideally you also possess a PGCE or Certificate in Education. However should you not have this, the College has an excellent Staff Development programme where a recognised teaching qualification can be gained.
You will have knowledge of current issues in Further Education relating to the curriculum area and experience of teaching Business at AS/A-Level would be beneficial, however, it is not essential for this post.
The salary for this post is up to £27,567.
