About the Programme

Burnley College’s hugely successful 10-year Internship programme equips college leavers, current university students and recent graduates with the skills and experience to make the first step into their dream career. Each year we look for Interns with the energy and enthusiasm to learn and explore new things and the drive to prove themselves in their chosen career path, who will bring a fresh perspective, innovative solutions and the ability to effectively utilise the latest working practices and technologies, gained during time spent in their chosen field of study.

Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to get an in-depth insight into the diverse functions of a successful marketing department, liaising with all ‘pods’ (Design, Content, Strategy, Information Advice and Guidance and School Liaison Teams). The successful intern will have the opportunity to see their work published in print and digitally and show evidence of communication skills (written and oral); team working and innovation; time management and resilience. They will work with photographers/videographers to accurately complete GDPR and file images; liaise with divisions to complete schedules for essential case study imagery; manage the department’s workflow management system; support in the creation of social media posts; support with marketing aspects of events; assist the content team in creating web pieces; support the compilation of the internal newsletter and manage VIP visits.
