About the Programme

Burnley College’s hugely successful 10-year Internship programme equips college leavers, current university students and recent graduates with the skills and experience to make the first step into their dream career. Each year we look for Interns with the energy and enthusiasm to learn and explore new things and the drive to prove themselves in their chosen career path, who will bring a fresh perspective, innovative solutions and the ability to effectively utilise the latest working practices and technologies, gained during time spent in their chosen field of study.

Role

The College’s busy and diverse Facilities team are looking for an organised and self-motivated intern to help coordinate their extensive work across the College campus; from taking helpdesk enquiries, scheduling works on a priority basis, supporting the contractor management system by acquiring all documentation from service providers/contractors, to raising purchase orders for works and supplies, undertaking compliance inspections and collating repairs for actioning. The successful intern will have the opportunity to be responsible for entire projects, including small works and planned maintenance and even sustainability initiatives for monitoring waste and energy use to help reduce costs, providing the intern with invaluable hands on experience of project management in a role where they will be able to see their impact.
