Senator Engineering are currently looking to recruit an Apprentice Product Development Engineer to join their team based at Huncoat. This is a great opportunity to build and develop technical skills to support new product development projects. The role will include; producing prototypes through 3D printing, model making, fabricating, tube bending, welding and coordinating test build programmes to relevant industry standards. You will undertake a 2-year Apprenticeship, supported by Burnley College, leading to a Level 3 Engineering Technician qualification. Your training will involve on the job training in the workplace supported by one day a week day release with Burnley College.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

• Understand the importance of complying with statutory, quality, organisational and health and safety regulations.
• To learn general calculations used by Engineering Technicians.
• To learn the structure, properties and characteristics of commonly used materials within the business.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Understand and interpret data and drawing specifications.
• Assist senior staff with daily tasks and responsibilities.
• Contribute to team projects and initiatives.
• Provide support to various departments as needed.

Working week

The usual working week is:

Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.30pm and Fridays 8.00am – 2.00pm (37.5 hours)
