As an Apprentice starting out on your career journey, you have access to a comprehensive range of support services and external resources to ensure you can maintain good physical and mental health.
You have access to the specialist Safeguarding and Wellbeing support offered at Burnley College and your allocated Trainer Assessor and Tutor are trained to signpost you to additional support services if required – both in your workplace, at College and in the community.
Taking the Apprenticeship route to career success will also allow you to follow your dream of degree-level study. At Burnley College University Courses (BCUC) you can make a seamless transition from your Advanced Apprenticeship studies to Higher Level Apprenticeship programmes and even a Degree Apprenticeship. Your Apprenticeship qualification can also open the door to university-level study outside an Apprenticeship programme, ensuring you have access to additional career routes and opportunities through HNC, HND, BA (Hons), BSc (Hons), BEng and post-graduate qualifications.
All Apprenticeships are different and have varying entry requirements. Additionally, all Apprentices are required by law to complete English and Maths qualifications by the time they complete their Apprenticeship programme. To talk about specific qualifications for the industry you are interested in, call Themis on 01282 733005 or email [email protected].
Completing your application is simple. The easiest way is to use the “Course Search” function at the top of this page, find the course you’re interested in, click “Apply” and follow the instructions.
You can also come and apply in person or at an Open Evening, which take place from September all the way through until February.
The length of an Apprenticeship varies according to the level you enter at, your qualification level on completion and the industry you are in, but they generally vary between one year and four years. The average Apprenticeships usually takes place over 18 months.
Yes! Employers appreciate being approached directly by potential Apprentices as it shows confidence, a positive attitude and drive. The Themis team will continue to match you with suitable roles with employers while you approach employers directly, giving you double the chance of finding an ideal role.
